Do I recommend ingestion of oils? This is a tricky question and such a hot topic in the essential oil community. For Safety purposes, I do not recommend ingestion via water or capsules unless you have a certified aromatherapist that knows your health background. There are so many factors that go into EO ingestion such as a person's current health status, possible medicine interactions, and how their body would react to ingestion. I can not possibly give out advice on this as I do not know everyone individually that comes to my page and it would be irresponsible for me to do so.
The only way I can say it is ok is in the flavoring of a meal. For example, using basil to flavor your spaghetti sauce. You would only use 1-2 drops to flavor a meal meant to feed 4 people. It is diluted way more than say taking a capsule of 5 drops. .25-.5 drops of basil in a plate of spaghetti is a much safer route than 5 drops in a capsule.
